Vietnam Friendship Village belongs to Veterans Association of Vietnam; it was set up under the decision of Vietnamese Government. According to the notice of number 4475-NC on December 29, 1991 of Office of Minister Council: It is an unit of social work (non-profit) on humanitarian, friendship activities with the support of Vietnam State, Vietnamese Fatherland Front, social organizations, economic and non-government organizations, the dedicated individuals and some veterans of some nations (German, America, France, Japan, Canada, England…). Its duty is to take care of, give the treatment and rehabilitation for the veterans’children and veterans affected by Agent Orange/Dioxin in the war in Vietnam who are facing many difficult conditions in their life. For the veterans’ children, the Friendship Village provides them with special and integrating education, vocational training education and creates the favourable conditions for the children in reintegrating into the communities |
